RACO Leveling Plates

RACO leveling plates can be used when device tabs do not properly rest on the wall because the device cutout is too large. Unlike other leveling solutions where the device tabs rest on the outlet box, this leveling plate rests on the wall to support a device. This works well when the outlet box is unstable (loose). Installing RACO Leveling Plates

Always turn off power when working on an electrical device.

1. Loosen the device mounting screws and pull the device out enough to insert the leveling plate behind it. Removing the device is not needed.

2. Place the top of the plate under the top tab of the device with the center of the plate resting on the device screw.

3. Pivot the plate so the bottom center of the plate is under the device screw.

4. Tighten the device screws while keeping the plate aligned with the device.

In rare cases that the wall cutout is extremely large, the RACO plate may not be as effective.
