Caution! Direct wiring will cause the lampholders to be energized with line voltage when the light switch is turned on. Always turn the power off to the light fixture when installing or replacing tubes in direct wired fixtures.
A fixture modification label should be supplied with the tube. Place this on the ballast cover according to instructions.
Factory wiring
Cut the wires from the ballast. Remove the ballast from the fixture (or leave it in place). Using orange wire connectors, trim wires to about 1/2”. Similar sized wire connectors can be used.
Individual lampholder wires (blue) are connected to the line.
Common wires (red) are connected to neutral.
These connections can be reversed. Individual to neutral and common to line.

Cut the wires from the ballast. Remove the ballast from the fixture (or leave it in place). Using tan wire connector for line and orange wire connector for neutral. Trim wires to about 1/2” for neutral and 5/8” to 3/4” for line. Similar sized wire connectors can be used.
Individual lampholder wires (blue and red) are connected to the line.
Common wires (yellow) are connected to neutral.
These connections can be reversed. Individual to neutral and common to line.
